DEFINITIONS

ATCO Gas Australia
is the trading name of ATCO Gas Australia Pty Ltd ACN 089 531 975

End Use Customer means the customer as specified in Section A of the CGCE form

Retailer means the retailer as specified in Section A of the CGCE form

All fields on CGCE Form marked * are mandatory and must be populated.

In accordance with the Energy Operators (Powers) Act 1979, ATCO Gas Australia and its representatives (including any employees, agents or contractors are deemed to have access to the works at all times for the performance of its functions.  The Retailer must ensure that unfettered access to the works is provided by the End-Use Customer.

ATCO Gas Australia does not accept any liability or responsibility for site safety and security protection of the End-Use Customer's specific facilities.  If requested ATCO Gas Australia can provide safety bollards and a security wire mesh enclosure at an additional cost (to be invoiced separately).

A clear maintenance access path (minimum 600mm wide, minimum clearance of 1000mm in front, 500mm on the sides and back of the meter set) is required at all times.  The Retailer must advise the End-Use Customer of this requirement and ensure that this requirement is fulfilled.

Despite s67A of the Energy Operators (Powers) Act 1979, the Retailer is liable, on a full indemnity basis, for all costs associated with the repair of any third party damage to ATCO Gas Australia’s assets, howsoever caused.

If ATCO Gas Australia is required to attend induction courses in order to obtain access to the End-Use Customer's premises, the Retailer must reimburse ATCO Gas Australia for the costs associated with the time spent at the induction course.

A contact number for the End-Use Customer must be provided.  The number is for emergency purposes and the End-Use Customer must be contactable at all times.  The Retailer must advise ATCO Gas Australia of any change to these details as soon as it becomes aware of the change.

Telemetry equipment must be installed on sites where the annual consumption is 10TJ's and above.  Telemetry equipment is optional for all other sites.

All equipment or works specified on the CGCE is based on information provided to ATCO Gas Australia by the Retailer.  ATCO Gas Australia relies on the information provided by the Retailer and makes no guarantee or warranties as to its accuracy.  ATCO Gas Australia reserves the right to charge for any modifications to the equipment if this information is incorrect.

A meter or meters will be sized to accommodate the nominated load/loads based on the load data supplied on the CGCE form.  As part of this process ATCO Gas Australia will need to conduct surveys (at frequencies determined by the impact on network system loads) in order to determine hourly flow profiles.   If these surveys show that the meter is incorrectly sized then following discussion with the Retailer regarding any individual circumstances that may affect the End-Use Customer, in the sole discretion of ATCO Gas Australia, the metering installation may be reconfigured.  The Retailer is liable for all costs associated with this process

The standard delivery time for a new meter set is at least 8 weeks from the receipt of the Retailer's Service Order.  This timeframe may fluctuate without notice and it is the Retailer's responsibility to advise their End-Use Customer.

In order to ensure unfettered access to the End-Use Customer's site any User Specific Facilities must be located along the inside edge (road frontage) of the property boundary.  As part of the CGCE request, the Retailer must submit a completed and signed Service Line and Meter Set Location Agreement. This will be a preliminary location proposal only with actual final positions to be determined by an ATCO Gas Australia representative.

For sites that are due to be demolished, the Retailer must arrange for a qualified gas fitter to purge the supply lines, prior to any demolition works commencing.

Receipt Point - Sub-Network details can be located on the ATCO Gas Australia website. You will need to populate the sub-network name on the CGCE form.

5 and 6 days operating profiles only used for engineering assessments for site requirements.

All quotes provided by ATCO Gas Australia exclude GST and are valid for 30 days from date of issue.
